Their advantages
- Flat design
- Optimised transport chain
- Low energy consumption
- Low investment costs
The SKF POLO gravity filter cleans many different liquids fully automatically. The special feature is the trough formed by the transport chain, so that hydrostatic pressure is built up over the fleece. The fleece pre-clocking is controlled by a float switch, depending on the contamination. The standard version is made of steels, but can also be supplied in stainless steel.
The contaminated liquid flows into the filter bed through an inlet distributor that prevents turbulence.
The dirt particles are deposited on the filter fleece, forming a high-quality filter layer and improving the filtration efficiency. In the process, the liquid level rises to a max. level at which a float switch triggers a fleece pre-stroke. At the same time, the used fleece is conveyed into the dirt container and fresh fleece is drawn in.
The clean tank is located under the filter, from which the cleaned liquid is passed back to the machine, usually by a pump.
A large selection of different POLO filter fleeces allows optimised adaptation to the operating conditions.

*Definition of flow rate: Emulsions and aqueous media approx. 1 mm²/sec at 20 °C and oils up to 15 mm²/sec at 20 °C.
The maximum flow rate of the filter is indicated; depending on the machining process and the degree of contamination, the flow rate may be lower.
